Is it Safe?
Yes! The XM42 is not pressurized, which makes it much safer than other models. It does NOT use Napalm like military flamethrowers from WWII or Vietnam, and we can even shoot different colors!
In 2015 the ION Productions team started an extremely successful indegogo campaign that surpassed the $40,000 requested funding overnight, and ended with $157,000.
In 2017 ION Productions moved to a larger facilities and began production of their next generation flamethrower. The upgrade would be capable of storing 6.5 minutes of fuel in a modular backpack.
Unfortunately in 2018 due to slow sales and other events, ION Productions went out of business and their upgrades have been put on indefinite hold.
You can still experience the exhilaration of commanding the elements by shooting fire from their revolutionary handheld flamethrower by Contacting us.
The XM42 in Film
In 2018 our flamethrower was used in the feature film Unearth. We had a ton of fun shooting it and learned a bit about horses. Orange flame doesn’t bother a horse, but shoot green flame into the sky and they think it’s the end of the earth. (It was not intentional to scare the horses and we stopped shooting as soon as we saw it frightened them.)
If you’ve seen Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, then you know what we are talking about. Below are couple of Instagram posts from The Rock when he was on the set for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Hormel Chili has even used the XM42 in one of their advertisements (below), and no, we do not have a flame resistant suit for you (or a really trusting friend) to wear.
